"Werewolf Christmas" by Nic Paolo '21
Art by Anonymous
A winter’s breeze cuts through the trees
The branches shake as wolves make way
Towards a cave amongst the lees
and cliffs towards the end of day
In the cave, the hunt is brought
The fire roars, the drums are hit,
The wolf-childs sing and dance the waltz
The Christmas tree is raised and lit
The gifts laid out, the red and gold
A lamb shank and some milk laid out
(To make sure that you don’t get coal)
The wolf-dads and wolf-moms put the kids to sleep
The squirrels and bats don’t make a peep And
shooting down the Cave’s smoke-hole
A werewolf Santa makes his keep.
