Water
by Laney Giusti '19

I have got dripping clothes and flooded lungs
From the raindrops falling from clouds above
The showers leave waves over thirsty tongues
Like fabricated faith for foreign love.
Puddles reach up to my naked knees
And my lips and fingertips are turning blue.
I'm stuck between the oceans and the seas
These waters are rules I won't conform to.
From the raindrops falling from clouds above
The showers leave waves over thirsty tongues
Like fabricated faith for foreign love.
Puddles reach up to my naked knees
And my lips and fingertips are turning blue.
I'm stuck between the oceans and the seas
These waters are rules I won't conform to.
