"The Snow"
By: Katherine Quinn '20
They loved the snow
That shone so bright, But it washed away Throughout the night. The puddles grew It flood til dawn The snowmen fled The angle’s gone The sleds had no purpose The snow coats were hung Snow boots were empty And no snowballs were flung The children sat idle They all felt so blue What to do without snow! They hadn’t clue. More rain was predicated But the children said “no!” So they prayed and they prayed “Turn that rain into snow!” The next morning was joyful And all the children looked spry Because the white, sparkling snowflakes Started falling from the sky All the children geared up And went out to play, What a wonderful start To a great Christmas Day! |
