The Fall

I was told love is a dark, dangerous thing
Do not whatever you do mess with love
Do not fall in love
For in the end you will fall

Why though
Why is love so bad
I have never felt love before
How could love be so bad I questioned

Then I met you
Your mischievous smile
Your misleading eyes
Your lying tongue
You told me false truths
You gave me false hopes
You broke my heart

I thought you loved me
I really thought you did
But I was a fool
For only a fool will listen to a snake
Only a fool will listen
To the person who will cause their demise

You took my heart and beat it
You beat it until it was broken and bloody
You beat it until nothing in the world
Would ever heal the pain

Now you come to me
You say you are sorry
You say you were wrong
You say you want me back

But how long will your love last
Until you find another

So no I will not take you back
And no I will not forgive you
For you fooled me once
You lied to me once
For that will never happen again
I will never fall again

At least I will never fall for you again ​
