Song of Passage - Homecoming" by Arianna Schifman '21

There’s a chill that cuts through my salt-rough skin, There’s a song that cuts through the sea-foam, Sharing grief and relief of my long-lost kin, As we realize that I have come home.
And I feel my heart as it guides my song, And I know that it’s whole once more,
Oh, I’ll never again make you wait so long, No matter what I must endure.
So grant me safe passage back to that place, Where I swore that I’d see you again,
Let me feel the joy that lights up your face, For I’ll truly know peace there and then.
And I know in my heart I’d be happy to stay, And you know, instead, that I’ll roam,
But however far to wherever I stray,
I’ll find you, and there we’ll be home.
