"Serenity of Chaos"

As the storm grows ever more violent 
As the snowflakes dance with each other in the sky
The stars shine bright to guide wandering travelers 
The serenity of chaos is shown in our eyes 

Each flake falls faster and heavier 
Hoping to be beat it’s friends and touch the ground first 
Houses and people form blockades 
The never ending white seems to surpass the land 

Street lights and house lights soon shut off 
The darkness of the night protrudes over the land
Only the glitter of the moon shines for us now
And the deafening sound of falling snow reaches our ears 

The crackle of fire brings light to the home 
We find blankets and each other for warmth 
We sit and watch as the rest of the world is erased by the storm 
As the serenity of chaos is shown in our eyes
