"On That Special Day"
By: Sheila Corkery '22
Best friends walking side by side,
Making footprints in the snow. Dragging their sled to the top of the hill, Talking and laughing as they go. Now back inside and drinking hot chocolate, Waiting up all night to hear those magic reindeer hooves, Hoping that Santa’s now in his sleigh, Hurrying on his way. Dreaming of running downstairs on the twenty-fifth, And seeing that Santa’s cookies have vanished. Ripping open the wrapping paper, And finally seeing that special gift. |
