The Gazebo
by Lily Nguyen '19

Picture
As I look across the pond,
I have always wondered
if one day
I will be there with you.
With our hands intertwined,
close enough to hear
one another's heartbeat,
I hope you say I do.
The sun goes down,
replaced by the glittering night sky,
as I look into your eyes,
full of love.
But my love for you
cannot compare how many stars
are in the infinite sky.
We dance through the night
with our heads close,
always assured by the fact
that we will always love each other.
As I look across the pond,
I have always wondered
if that one day
will come true
in the gazebo of love.
