Foolish Little Girls

​small little yelps
and desperate cries for light.
scared of the monsters
underneath her bed

big claws and teeth
to rip and pull
into small enough pieces
so he won't have to chew

so naive and innocent
only afraid of the dark
and monsters under the bed

how beautiful to believe
that the monsters only
show their teeth in the dark

you foolish little girl
soon you'll learn
you should be afraid
of the demons
within your head

the worst type of monsters
hide their sharp teeth and claws
behind a beautiful mask
encaptivating and addicting
until they have you in their web
like a spider ready to strike.
