Snowflakes

I got all that I asked for;
No one knows why I'm blue. The only thing I missed off My Christmas list was you. You made me see in snowflakes, You made me dream out loud. You helped me block out all The selfish Christmas sounds. But you are not here with me; The blizzard was too strong. When you sing Christmas carols, I cannot sing along. My dear you are a snowflake, Sent from Heaven above. Brave, unique, enduring all, How do you do it? Love. And while I cannot hold you, As we lay by the fire, Every time I see snowfall, I'll know that God conspired To have me reach out my hand And catch the falling snow. And as I saw your beauty, He made me say, "hello." We only shared one moment; You melted just like that. But that one moment saved me. How can I get it back? Now whenever I see snow, I cry a bit inside Because I loved my snowflake But never said goodbye. So I will always reach out, Hoping to slow time down, So I can see your beauty, And help you stay around. |
