​Autumns tender masterpiece,
Here, with me,
in its arms.

A speckle, of orange,
A spattering of red,
A crown of yellow,
Upon her head.

I looked within
her soft brown eyes
Only to see,
The whirlwind inside.

The whirlwind’s made
of wondrous hues.
Fire and dancing,
Death and dues.

Joy and laughter,
Heartache and pain,
Warm mulled cider,
cold autumn rain
